TL;DR
The ESG Report is a document (primarily digital) that TPG releases annually to stakeholders to share their goals, strategies, and progress from the year.
Overview
TPG first adopted a Global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Performance Policy in 2012. Each year, the company releases a public report to stakeholders on their ESG strategies and progress since the previous year. It highlights not only the commitment and actions of the firm but also that of companies in their portfolio.

The design goals for the report included:
  • Creating a template that was new & more modern, but still within TPG branding
  • Getting all the copy in while keeping the page count below 100
  • Make something aesthetically pleasing
Process
With a short amount of time and a lot of text to transform into a 8.5x11" document, I set out to brainstorm the overall look & feel. Creating flexible layouts to accommodate for changes later was crucial. I worked closely with the team to finalize the template, and then, build out all of the pages (58 total this year!).
Solution
Before integrating all the content, I used columns and guidelines in the master pages to create a base in which we could build everything on. I also set up the different paragraph styles so that once the template was complete, multiple people could easily work within my template and still have a consistent look & feel.
